To those who work far from their country, to those who have supported their families from another continent, to those who send love disguised as transfers. This letter is for you.

You probably never thought you wanted to be the client of a remittance company. You thought about your mother’s medicine, your father’s rent, your sister’s school fees, your cousin’s new baby. You thought about people, not payments. That is where everything begins.

My name is Juan. I was born in Colombia and I have spent more than a decade living and working in Germany. Like you, I know what it means to start from zero with a suitcase, a dream and a deep sense of responsibility. You leave, but you keep supporting. You move away, but your heart stays at home. Behind every effort lies that quiet promise we all know: if things go well for me here, things must go even better for them there.

You make plans to send gifts, to cover expenses, to be present even from a distance. And you stretch every euro so that your extra hours at work reach your family in full. You go to stores that operate as remittance counters, you compare banks and apps, you spend the week waiting for a better exchange rate, and you watch commissions take a portion of what your family needs for daily life.

There are two very different worlds. The world of those of us who migrate to build something better. And the world of financial systems that were almost never designed with us in mind. For years I could not stop asking myself the same question. Why are the people who most need clear, safe and fair tools always the last to receive them?

After spending time teaching migrants about financial habits, I realized the technology was finally ready to make the experience fairer and to return that benefit to the people. Rampa was born from that simple idea: to bring those two worlds together so that sending money is not a sacrifice but a path toward peace of mind.

We are no longer in the era of calling home only once a week. With messages and video calls we are closer than ever. If our families can use apps like WhatsApp, they can also use a simple tool to send and receive money with clarity and control. No confusion. No fear.

Rampa turns every transfer into a real opportunity for family wellbeing. I am not talking about luxury. I am talking about peace of mind, dignity, less stress at the end of the month, a small emergency fund that finally exists, progress you can actually see and not just imagine.

We put people first. You are not a user, you are a story. And we built Rampa for people like you. The person who sends money every month and wonders if their parents will ever get to rest. The migrant who is tired of checking five apps just to know how much will actually arrive. The entrepreneur who works with clients abroad and needs speed without absurd fees or surprises. The dreamer who saves for a home, a visa, a trip, a future.

We are starting with the essentials. Sending and receiving money with clarity and without headaches. From there we will build functions that help people save and learn to invest, always with guidance and without that tone that makes you feel you should already know everything.

Rampa works with blockchain technology, starting with Solana, but your family does not need to understand any of that. That is the agreement we make with you. You receive the benefits, speed, transparency, lower costs and more control. We take on the complexity and hide it behind a simple and familiar experience. If your mother never hears the word blockchain but receives her money faster, cheaper and more clearly, that is a victory.

I am writing this open letter because trust is not earned with trendy words. You owe us nothing. It is up to us to earn your trust. And we want you to know something important. We are not neutral. We are on your side. We know the mix of pride and responsibility that comes with supporting your family from afar. We are building Rampa for you to use, and for you to be confident knowing we use it for our own families too.

And I also want to be honest. We do not have all the answers. We will make mistakes as we build this. That is why we ask that whenever you feel we are losing our way, you help guide us back to our essence. We promise to always listen, communicate honestly, correct quickly and return again and again to the essential question. Is this truly helping families? Is this helping my family?

If you want to be part of this, shape it, test it, share ideas or challenge us, we would love to hear from you. Join the waitlist.

From one migrant, a father and a dreamer to another.
You are not just the person who sends money.
You are a bridge.
You are a provider of hope.
You are someone who is designing futures.

Rampa exists to make that effort fairer, lighter and more hopeful.

Thank you for everything you already do for your family. We are here to help you turn that effort into something that grows.

With respect and gratitude,

Juan
